Post Indian independence saw the dawn of Prakash Cotton Mills. The year was 1948, and the month March, when Shri S. B. Seksaria promoted Prakash Cotton Mills. 1954 saw Shri Tolaram Jalan and family acquire the company.

At take over stage the installed manufacturing facility was a modest 26000 spindles and 440 looms.  With a steady growth rate the manufacturing facility progressed to a high of 39000 ring spindles, 5300 rotors and 678 looms.

Today Prakash Cotton is proud of its production facilities which consist of :

Prakash Cotton Mills is one of the foremost manufacturers and suppliers of internationally accepted quality fabrics, made-ups and garments.  Located in the metro city of Mumbai(India), the company has a comprehensive set up covering yarns manufacturing, fabrics making, dyeing, printing and garment division complete with packing section.

To add to all this Prakash Cotton have a full fledged processing and finishing facility at its Jalan Dyeing and Bleaching Mills.

With an annual turnover of around US $50 million, and exports worth US $30 million, Prakash Cotton has carved out a reputation for itself in the international market for tomorrow’s quality and today’s designs.
